About GreyWire Software
Small shop. Big conviction: software should work for the people who paid for it — not for a server farm somebody else owns.
The Story
GreyWire Software makes tools that work offline, stay private, and never ask for subscriptions. Everything runs in your browser. Nothing phones home — and if it runs in a browser, we've probably stress-tested it to the breaking point and back.
It started in the early '90s with a modded Harpoon naval wargame box set — 10,000 index cards, branching decisions, world simulation before anyone called it that. Dave has been building systems ever since.
That same mindset runs through everything today: MPF, a 67-page open research paper on why patterns exist across all systems. A lineup of browser games — Backyard Kings (high school QB career sim), Bloodline 1200 (medieval life sim), and Nuclear Power Simulator (real-time reactor management). And DualProof: offline time tracking for small teams who don't want payroll software price tags.
GreyWire is built by Dave and a swarm of AI agents — one guy directing a small army of tireless helpers, everything tested the hard way before it ships.
We're not a big company. We're one guy building tools that actually respect the user — because nobody else will.
What We Believe
Truly Offline
Zero internet required. Your data stays on your devices — not on someone else's server.
No Subscriptions
One-time purchase. Lifetime license. We don't rent you software that runs your business.
Privacy First
No accounts, no tracking, no data mining. What happens in your business stays in your business.
Print & Go
Built-in printable reports and timesheets. Paper-ready when you need it, digital when you don't.
What We Make
DualProof — offline time tracking for small teams. Clock-in with PINs, weekly schedules, printable timesheets, manager reports. One HTML file, lifetime license.
Browser games — because the same rules apply to fun: no downloads, no accounts, no ads. Backyard Kings (a four-year high school football career), Bloodline 1200 (a knight's life sim), and Nuclear Power Simulator (try not to melt down).
How We Build
Everything is tested the way you'd use it — full seasons played, real payroll weeks run, actual breaking things on purpose. If it can't survive real use, it doesn't ship. Our tagline isn't a joke: if it runs in a browser, we've probably set it on fire and put it out again.
